The NNAS scheme is highly regarded by many organizations as a quality assured standard and is useful for DofE supervisors, teachers and leaders who may be developing skills towards national governing body awards (e.g. Lowland leader), walkers and even runners or anyone who wants to get out and about in lowland countryside areas. Courses can be arranged to suit your needs..

At Aquila Outdoor Adventure we can provide all of the training you need to complete the Expedition section, from camp craft to navigation and 1st Aid.
We also able to facilitate and run your Bronze, Silver and Gold practice and qualifying expeditions.
You can also book us as freelance instructors/assessors to assist with your established DofE program. Therefore saving costs for you.

What an inspirational lady.
Read her full story on the link below, not only was she an inspirational climber, but also an awesome educator ahead of her times. Her thoughts and techniques could and should still be used today as we are not all the same and should be give the best start we can.

" It seams to me that it is a mistake that we do nothing for children now, but only for what they become later"
She believed that education was most effective when it engaged ' head, hand and heart' and when it gives a direct connection to the land. She also believed that 'education for life' should be as full, happy and healthy as it could be.

We can provide many activities for your family or group, from survival skills/ bushcraft, to navigation/map reading, to climbing and abseiling and anything in between. We can also adapt our activities or build a program just for your group.

Come climb with us, indoors at a Centre local to you, or outdoor climbing, abseiling or ridge walking near you or at one of the many stunning location across the SW UK.
We can even run and access your students for GCSE or A level PE climbing.
